We live in a universe that's governed by many Natural Laws, or functionalities. One of those Laws is duality. The function of duality is to provide information through contrast. For example, we would not know what "day" is without the contrast of night. The direction "right" would not exist without "left." Duality governs the physics of our world: the structure of an atom is comprised of physical components (protons, neutrons, and electrons) which exist within the non-material void through which they move. While this absence or void is non-material and therefore has no mass, it paradoxically takes up space. This existence of this non-existence provides the field within which the manifested, material aspects of our world have space to exist (say that 10 times fast). In this respect, matter and void hold each other in balance and give meaning to each other through contrast.
Duality also governs our sovereignty as human beings, sometimes known as the Law of Free Will. Without duality, we would not have the capacity to choose. We make many choices in our daily lives, from what to eat for breakfast, to what career path we will take, to how we handle conflict with a loved one. For many people, the ability to choose is closely aligned with the concept and experience of freedom.
In the Interuniversalist worldview, our ability to choose is a defining feature of the human being, and is fundamental to our capacity to learn and evolve throughout this lifetime. In this respect, the first question to address is, "why should I learn and evolve if life is good and I'm already having fun?" Well, while life may be working out for one minute, many people have recurring thoughts or behaviours that interrupt enjoyment with anxiety, doubt, fear, or compulsion. Other people have chronic health problems, or areas of their life that never seem to be operating smoothly whether it be in romantic relationships, their career, or otherwise. We all have challenges of various kinds, and the even greater challenge is finding and addressing the root cause of it! (If you have no challenges in your life whatsoever, we'd love to hear from you, seriously.)
Another question to consider is, "how do I know which is the best choice to make for the greatest good of both myself and the rest of the universe?" Even with the best of intentions, it's possible to make a decision that unintentionally causes harm. Furthermore, it's not always possible or proper for someone else, no matter how knoweldgeable or experienced they might be, to tell you what decision to make. This is particularly true with respect to navigating the nuances of a business or intimate relationship. However, there are many (MANY) sources of advice in the world, whether that be an individual (like a life coach, professional, or spiritual guide), or a body of knowledge (such as any philosophy including organized religion, a branch of secular philosophy, or cultural worldview). Many sources of information will have a degree of overlap, which is to be expected given that we all exist within the same universe which is governed by the same Natural Laws. There is also, of course, conflicting information. So, how can we choose what to believe and not believe? What principles should we use to verify what is true and what is misguided information? And how can we experience the truth of these principles for ourselves?
Arguably, the most powerful aspect of Interuniversalism is the opportunity to personally experience the philosophy. This pragmatic aspect includes "linking" an individual to source consciousness via a Halqeh ("Link"). In much the same way that a computer would be connected to a specific website in order to receive a software upgrade, a Link connects an individual to the intelligence of the universe in order to come into greater balance and understanding. (Find out more about how Links work on our Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) page.) While founder Dr. M.A. Taheri has produced an impressively detailed philosophy regarding the nature of consciousness, Interuniversalism practitioners and recipients of the associated CAMs are able to verify the theories based on observing how the Links have shifted the climate of their inner world (thoughts, emotions, and sensations). Throughout time, people who have been considered enlightened or saintly have received various insights and abilities based on their own efforts to connect and communicate with the foundational consciousness of our universe; Dr. Taheri's method allows every single human being, based on their choice, to experience this connection.
However, our journey doesn't end with simply "getting linked." It is a choice to be connected. It is a choice to be open-minded and curious, and stay with the process. It is a choice to let go of old patterns. It is a choice to receive healing. It is a choice to seek truth. And it is a choice to persist in the face of life's complications and challenges, in order to truly live free.
Wishing you absolute well-being and awareness,
